Lyft Becomes Exclusive Rideshare, Bike and Scooter Partner Across Prominent AEG Music Venues and Festivals

New Agreement Includes 16 AEG Presents Assets Across 8 Major U.S. Markets

LOS ANGELES – JUNE 27, 2019 – Lyft, whose mission is to improve people's lives with the world's best transportation, and AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, have entered into a strategic new partnership that makes Lyft the exclusive rideshare, bike, and scooter partner of 16 AEG Presents owned or operated music assets across eight U.S. markets. For more than 20 years, AEG has played a pivotal role in transforming the live entertainment industry with its global network of world-class venues, sports franchises, music brands, entertainment districts and more. The transportation partnership, coordinated by AEG Global Partnerships, will provide a variety of benefits and seamless transportation options for fans looking for convenient and safe ways to travel to and from live events across the country. This marks the first time AEG Presents has integrated scooter and bike rideshare options for fans across its select music properties.

Since its introduction, Lyft has provided customers seamless, convenient, and affordable transportation options. At the same time, the company remains uniquely committed to making cities more livable for its users, many of whom reside in densely populated areas where additional transportation options help make events more accessible to all. This innovative partnership not only expands Lyft’s customer touchpoints to tens of thousands of live-event attendees and festival goers, but also builds upon the company’s initiative to help make transportation more reliable and convenient for city-dwelling residents around the country. The partnership with Lyft provides a seamless way for music fans to explore their cities as well as an affordable and reliable means of getting to and from their favorite live events.

As part of the agreement, Lyft will create and operate designated drop-off and pick-up “Lyft Spots” for its cars, bikes, and scooters at top AEG Presents music venues throughout the country. With the newly designated “Lyft Spots,” music fans will have easier access to events as well as the opportunity to experience the Lyft brand up close and personal. Whether it be through a car, bike, or scooter, fans can expect to have the most seamless Lyft experience, connecting them to safe and convenient rides with the simple tap of a button.

“Lyft continues to provide cities with more transportation options, including bikes and scooters, and AEG is an ideal partner to ensure music fans have the best experience from arriving for the opening act to leaving after their favorite band's encore,” said David Baga, Chief Business Officer at Lyft.

The new relationship will serve to enhance the overall fan experience by bringing a new level of convenience to fans visiting AEG Present’s world-class music venues and premiere live events. Lyft will become the exclusive rideshare, bike and scooter partner of 1STBANK Center, Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, the Mission Ballroom and Global Dance Festival (Denver, CO), EXPRESS LIVE! and the Basement (Columbus, OH), Forest Hills Stadium (Queens, NY), The Joy Theater (New Orleans, LA), Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall and Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival (Los Angeles, CA). The Theatre at Grand Prairie (Dallas-Fort Worth, TX), Stage AE (Pittsburgh, PA), Marymoor Park Concerts, The Showbox, The Showbox SoDo and Bumbershoot, an AEG Presents festival (Seattle, WA). At select venues, “Lyft Spots” will be rolling out over the next few months.

“AEG Presents is proud to have a best-in-class partner like Lyft who shares in our commitment to consistently providing our respective customers with exceptional experiences,” said Andrew Klein, Managing Director, AEG Global Partnerships. “We’re constantly looking for innovative ways to leverage technology, and this partnership allows us to add value with easy-to-use transportation solutions that enhance the fan experience across some of our biggest venues and live events.”
