Underprivilege junior and senior high school students found their special prom dresses during the “Yes! That’s My Dress” pop up event at AEG's Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA

AEG's Dignity Health Sports Park's ASCSC Community Foundation, LA Galaxy Foundation, and Kings Care Foundation Partnered With Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation, AT&T and Becca's Closet to Host Prom Dress Giveaway “Yes! That's My Dress"

Three of AEG’s Foundations -- Dignity Health Sports Park ASCSC Community Foundation, the LA Galaxy Foundation and the Kings Care Foundation -- partnered with the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation, AT&T and Becca’s Closet to host a pop-up prom dress giveaway “Yes! That’s My Dress” extravaganza at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA on Thursday, March 31.

The pop-up event provided underprivileged young ladies the opportunity to secure their own prom dress regardless of their families’ socioeconomic status. The event, which aimed to inspire, enlighten, and mentor the girls to know their value and empower them with confidence to achieve personal success, provided more than 700 young ladies with lasting memories from their prom night. Additionally, the first 50 young ladies that attended also received a family pack of four tickets to an LA Galaxy soccer match at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Onsite volunteers assisted the girls in selecting the perfect gown to fit each of their personality, frame and style. When the perfect dress was found, the young ladies stepped into a mirrored booth for a photoshoot to claim their dress. Gowns for the event were donated through TLC/Discovery Channel in partnership with Macy’s Prom Dress Collection, Adrianna Papell, BCBGeneration, Speechless, and many other amazing designers.
