THE OFFICIAL KOBE BRYANT “24 COLLECTION” APPAREL LINE CELEBRATING THE FIVE-TIME NBA CHAMPION’S FINAL GAME

Los Angeles, CA (April 7, 2016) – This morning at 8:24 a.m. (PDT), AEG Merchandise and Lakersstore.com will officially unveil the Kobe Bryant “24 Collection” featuring over 45 exclusive apparel items to commemorate the incredible career of the Lakers legend.

The specially created items include New Era headwear, adidas Jerseys and t-shirts, jackets by JH Design Jackets, an exclusive Pin line with Aminco and much more while supplies last. Additional products will be available at STAPLES Center’s TEAM LA Store on Wednesday, April 13 at 8:24 a.m. (PDT) to commemorate Bryant’s last game. Additionally select items will be sold in concert with Uber Eats on the 13th and delivered exclusively via Uber Eats.

“The vision and creation of the “24 Collection” started more than a year ago when we challenged the New Era Cap design team to create items to commemorate one of the Lakers’ all-time greats and most popular player in team history. The limited edition high-end hats created by New Era’s Design Team now available exclusively through AEG Merchandise include:

18k Gold Black Lambs Leather Cap

  • Retailing for $38,024
  • Eight total caps made and available for purchase
  • Black leather 59FIFTY (Fitted) cap with black snakeskin visor, representing the Black Mamba and a gold snakeskin under visor
  • 3.5 oz. 18K gold “24” affixed to the front of the cap with the Lakers logo set inside of the cap
  • Lakers logo embroidered on the rear of the cap
  • The cap has a custom purple satin liner stamped with gold foil featuring Bryant’s career highlights

Purple Diamond Cashmere Cap

  • Retailing for $24,008
  • Eight total caps made and available for purchase
  • Purple cashmere 59FIFTY (Fitted) cap with a gold snakeskin under visor
  • Lakers logo is embroidered on the front with Bryant’s name and number
  • Five yellow diamonds are affixed above Bryant’s name and number to represent his five NBA Championships
  • The cap has a custom purple satin liner stamped with gold foil featuring Kobe’s career highlights

Both caps were produced at New Era’s US manufacturing facility in Derby, NY, which is close to New Era’s Global Headquarters in Buffalo, NY and will come in a custom black leather box featuring Kobe’s number with embossed Lakers logo.

AEG and STAPLES Center collaborated with official airline partner Delta Air Lines to deliver the exclusive collection in style. The items traveled from Buffalo, N.Y., and made their way to Los Angeles in Delta's Delta One™ cabin, where they were treated to the airline's full premium experience. Delta has served as the official airline of the Lakers since 2011 and continues to deepen its footprint in Los Angeles, where it operates more than 160 daily departures, employs more than 3,000, and partners with dozens of key community organizations.

For the more casual cap collector and Kobe Bryant fans, New Era created five other caps which are take down versions of the “Black 24 Cap” and the “Purple Diamond Cashmere Cap” which include:

  • 81 Cap – Limited edition with only 248 caps made with Swarovski crystals and the points per quarter embossed on four side panels available for $248.24
  • 24 Liquid Infused Adjustable Cap – Gold color liquid metal infused 24 on the front of the cap and retails for $82.48
  • Slam Dunk Cap – Limited edition with only 248 caps made commemorating Kobe Bryant’s accomplishments and is retailed at $72.48
  • 5x Champ Liquid Metal Cap – Limited edition cap with only 824 fitted caps retailing for $72.48
  • 24 Metal Fitted Cap – Take down version of the “18k Gold Black Lambs Leather Cap” retailing at $72.48

Exclusive jersey designed by adidas will also be available in two varieties (both limited editions) with details below:

  • Exclusive Boxed Jersey – Retailing for $824 there are only 248 jerseys made that have snake print body with Bryant’s career accomplishments detailed up and down on the inseam and five-time NBA Champion detailed on the back neck
  • Retail Jersey – Retailing for $424 and only 824 jersey made, this version of the jersey is a similar design to the Exclusive Boxed Jersey with each jersey has snake skin number and Bryant’s career accomplishments detailed up and down on the inseam and five-time NBA Champion detailed on the back neck

For those Kobe Bryant fans looking for a t-shirt version of the exclusive jerseys, there will be three different official adidas t-shirt versions of the boxed and retail jersey described above to mimic the jerseys design retailing for $32.48 and the long sleeve t-shirt also available for $42.48.

“24 COLLECTION” WILL ALSO FEATURE JACKETS:

There will also be three jackets exclusively created by JH Design and all Made in the USA to commemorate Kobe Bryant’s illustrious career. The first jacket is a lambskin leather jacket with snakeskin leather accents, Swarovski rhinestones, hand-crafted leather logos and a leather collar, cuffs and waistband. There are only 24 jackets made with a limited edition JH plaque on the inside of the jacket and will retail for $5,824. The second jacket is a wool jacket with hand-crafted gold leather logos, embroidered knit collar, cuffs and waistband. There are only 248 jackets made and includes a limited edition JH plaque on the inside of the jacket, retailing for $824. The third and final jacket has a wool body, leather sleeve varsity jacket with chenille logos, embroidered knit collar, cuffs and waistband. There are only 124 jackets made and also includes the limited edition JH plaque on the inside of the jacket and retails for $724.
