AEG Lives Names Brooke Kain to Newly Created Chief Digital Officer

AEG LIVE NAMES BROOKE KAIN TO NEWLY CREATED

CHIEF DIGITAL OFFICER POSITION

Los Angeles, CA – September 8, 2016 -- AEG Live, a wholly owned division of AEG and one of the largest live music companies in the world, announced today that the company has appointed Brooke Kain to serve in the newly created position of Chief Digital Officer, effective immediately.

In her new position, Ms. Kain will oversee all digital operations at AEG Live and ensure that the company has a coordinated digital media strategy across its many music brands, events and properties. This will include the growth of existing digital channels and platforms, helping to leveraging data to drive ticket sales and new customer acquisition, creating event-based content as well as creating strategic partnerships with key digital entertainment companies.

Prior to joining AEG Live, Ms. Kain served as Head of Digital Marketing for Apple Music, iTunes, where she managed digital marketing across all of Apple’s music, movies, TV, books and news channels. During her tenure, she built and executed digital marketing and user acquisition strategies for Apple’s music launch, introducing new types of marketing channels to the Apple ecosystem. Additionally, she reinvented Apple’s social strategy launching nine channels across five networks that acquired 10 million new followers in eight months and increased engagement on organic digital channels by 125%. While in this role she established Apple’s first partnerships with Snapchat, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Ms. Kain was recently featured in Billboard’s 2016 Digital Power Players List.

Before joining Apple Music, Ms. Kain served as the Head of Digital Marketing for Beats Music where she established the digital marketing organization and created a CRM platform for the company.

Prior to working at Beats Music, Ms. Kain served as Head of Digital Marketing for Interscope Records where she oversaw digital marketing activities and partnerships to support the launch of new records for all artists on Interscope's artist roster. Additionally, she has held various positions of increased responsibilities at Universal Music Group, MediaVast and Sony Music Entertainment.

Ms. Kain holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University and a dual master degree of Business Administration/ Entertainment and Media and Entrepreneurial Studies from University of California, Marshall School of Business.

Joyce Szudzik, who has overseen digital and social media marketing for AEG Live since 2006 as the Vice President of Digital Marketing, will assume the newly created role of Vice President of Digital and Social Media at AEG, focused on strategies that drive the company’s corporate level marketing and data-driven campaigns across its multiple divisions.
