AEG Facilities Extends Partnership Agreement with The SSE Hydro, Glasgow Arena

Glasgow, Scotland & Los Angeles (October 11, 2018) AEG Facilities, a stand-alone division of the world’s leading sports, venue and live entertainment company, AEG, has extended its strategic partnership agreement with The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland. AEG Facilities will continue to augment venue support services for The SSE Hydro including event booking, venue operations, premium seating initiatives and sponsorship sales and marketing.

With a seating capacity of 12,000, The SSE Hydro hosts more than 130 events and welcomes over a million visitors annually. Since opening its doors five years ago on 30 September, 2013, The SSE Hydro, with support from AEG Facilities, has been recognized as one of the top five venues in the world, bringing sold-out shows to Scotland featuring international artists including Rod Stewart, Ed Sheeran, U2, The Who, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and the C2C Country Music Festival.  

AEG Facilities led the creation of the 10-year venue naming rights agreement with SSE and additionally added sponsorship agreements with other partners including Heineken, Clydesdale Bank, Raymond Weil, IRN-BRU and Capital FM.
