GENERAL MANAGER OF GLENDALE ARIZONA’S GILA RIVER ARENA

GLENDALE, AZ & LOS ANGELES, CA (June 29, 2016) – Dale Adams has been appointed General Manager, Gila River Arena, the 18,300-seat multi-purpose arena home of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, concerts, family shows and other sporting and special events, it was announced by Chuck Steedman, Chief Operating Officer, AEG Facilities, the leading sports, entertainment and venue operator in the world. Adams, who joined AEG in 2007, will also retain his Vice President Content Development, AEG Facilities title and responsibilities.

As General Manager, Gila River Arena, Adams will be responsible for the management of all of the arena’s front and back of the house operations in addition to guiding business operations, event programming, the creation of new events, advertising, marketing and the development of new revenue opportunities for the arena that opened in December, 2003 and is anchored by the Westgate Entertainment District and also adjacent to the University of Phoenix Stadium.

“Dale brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of facility operations and event development and management. He brings a great perspective as both a GM of major arenas as well as on the content development side,” said Steedman. “We’re thrilled to have him guide our team in Glendale as the General Manager of Gila River Arena while also continuing his valuable role in content development for AEG Facilities.”

In his dual role as Vice President Entertainment Development, AEG Facilities, Adams is also responsible for coordinating booking categories such as family shows, special events, sports championships, collegiate athletics and other events for the 120 venues within the portfolio of AEG Facilities including the upcoming (post-Olympics) 2016 Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions.

Prior to joining AEG Facilities, Adams served as Vice President Sales & Touring with Premier Exhibitions and prior to that, served as General Manager of Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, an arena operated by AEG Facilities. He also served as General Manager of the Coliseo de Puerto Rico and had a number of senior management positions with Feld Entertainment.

Adams is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management.
