AEG and WISE Los Angeles Host Networking, Inspiration and Learning Event for Women of Color in Sports and Entertainment

AEG and WISE (Women In Sports and Events) Los Angeles hosted a night of conversation, networking, inspiration and learning for women of color at the GRAMMY Museum Terrace at L.A. LIVE. The event, a "Networking Experience: Building Inclusive Relationships Today for More Diverse Leaders of Tomorrow," explored the importance of women in leadership as well as the professional advancement of women of color across sports and entertainment.

The evening brought 40 mid-to senior-level women of color with 10 to 15+ years of professional experience together with top-tier executive leaders and hiring managers from some of the leading companies in the Los Angeles market. All participating companies are committed to fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces and creating opportunities for the next generation of diverse leaders.

“Diversity, equity and inclusion will continue to shape how top organizations recruit and hire, and we are proud to continue our long-standing work with WISE Los Angeles to help shape the future of the sports landscape in our city,” said Jae Requiro, VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at AEG. “While women of color have made inroads in the industry, we need more representation across executive leadership positions. Talent is everywhere, and we’re excited to be a company that’s demonstrating our commitment to making new connections for the future leaders of our industry. Events like this are a great example of how partnerships with like-minded community organizations can help accelerate the achievement of our goals, expand our impact and drive meaningful change for the benefit of the sports and entertainment industry.”
