Family Day at Regal L.A. LIVE



WHAT: The world will be celebrating the landmark 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech in cooperation with THE DREAM©50. Eighteen locations around the world, including Mew York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., Miami, London, Paris, Johannesburg, Australia, Shanghai, Singapore, Amman, Beirut, Prague, Dublin and Mumbai will be hosting musical and dance tributes, Dance The Dream. L.A. LIVE will serve as the Los Angeles host and display the events on the supersized LED screens located within Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE.

Dance The Dream features top dance artists from around the world, including dancers from the English National Ballet, performing original choreography to two musical selections, an original multilingual arrangement of “Heaven Help Us All” featuring the South African Youth Choir and the Jerusalem Youth Chorus, and a musical selection of the local choreographer’s choosing.

The mission of THE DREAM©50 is to celebrate the creative dynamism of cultural diversity, to build stronger communities based on mutual understanding and respect and to inspire everyone everywhere to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and change the world. The event is sponsored by Target, AARP and American Eagle Outfitters.
