AEG Releases 2018 Sustainability Report

Report Celebrates Environmental Milestones in 2017 Through AEG 1EARTH, AEG’s 10-Year Old, Industry-Leading Global Sustainability Program

LOS ANGELES (April 25, 2018) –  AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, released its 2018 Sustainability Report, a comprehensive publication that details the company’s global efforts toward reducing its environmental footprint through its 10-year old, industry-leading global sustainability program, AEG 1EARTH.

Released on Earth Day 2018, the 2018 AEG Sustainability Report, available for download on the company’s website, outlines the company’s progress toward its set of 2020 Environmental Goals that are based on performance metrics collected from its worldwide venues, festivals and offices.

Additionally, the report features “Anniversary Spotlights” on three of AEG’s most iconic properties – L.A. LIVE, The O2 and Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin –  which drove transformation and growth in their respective cities by revitalizing blighted urban areas into thriving sports and entertainment districts.

“A decade ago, we charted a new course for AEG with the launch of our corporate sustainability program, AEG 1EARTH. When we started the program in 2007, not many in our industry were focused on their environmental footprint,” said AEG President & CEO Dan Beckerman. “As our company began to grow at an exponential rate, we started rethinking our mission and the impact we have in the world. We realized that for AEG, sustainability wasn’t just a good practice, but it was essential for our business, our planet, and our communities.”
