AEG Celebrates International Women’s Day

AEG joins global #BalanceforBetter campaign to raise awareness about gender balance; Donates $10,000 to Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles in conjunction with LA Kings’ Kings Care Foundation

In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD), AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, is raising awareness about the need for gender balance in the workplace through a social media campaign, #WomenStrong.

Aligning with IWD’s global #BalanceforBetter campaign, AEG’s campaign is anchored by a video that spotlights its female employees discussing the importance of equality in the workplace.  The social campaign encourages the company’s community to tag a mentor in order to highlight the women and men who have helped accelerate gender parity.

To show their support for women in the community, AEG and the LA Kings’ Kings Care Foundation made a donation to the Downtown Women’s Center, the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women.

AEG is committed to supporting and developing women leaders and on Friday, March 8, the company hosted a panel discussion at The GRAMMY Museum at L.A. LIVE, for its global employee workforce, focused on the issues that women face in the sports and entertainment industry.  Opening remarks for the event were delivered by AEG’s CEO, Dan Beckerman and the keynote speaker was Dr. Bernice Ledbetter, Director for the Center for Women in Leadership at Pepperdine’s Graziadio Business School.
