Position Summary:

The Customer Support Technician at Gila River Arena provides event day support for all client side systems and applications, software and hardware.

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide “first and second level” quality technical support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. 75% Daily
  • Provide client side support for business users, customers, event staff and media during events including desktop hardware/software, networking and telecom. 5% Daily
  • Assist IT Manager in set up and tear down of IT assets for events. 10% Daily
  • Assist on projects to ensure deadlines are met and services are delivered correctly and on time. 5% Daily
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: AA/AS Degree (2-year) (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
  • Tasking % of Time Frequency Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually
  • Provide “first and second level” quality technical support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. 75% Daily
  • Provide client side support for business users, customers, event staff and media during events including desktop hardware/software, networking and telecom. 5% Daily

  • Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed 5% Daily
  • 2-4 years of related work experience supporting Windows OS, networking (both wired and wireless), and telephony support.
  • Solid working knowledge of standard support utilities: (remote control, putty, command line utilities, etc.)
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN environments and communications impact on end user computing
  • Working knowledge of installation and operation of Microsoft products
  • Ability to competently analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication
  • Experience with Windows operating systems 7/8/10 and MS Office 2010/2013/2016
  • Experience with telecom support (analog/digital/isdn cross connect)
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, and walk or stand for long periods
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues and have a strong ability to prioritize and multitask
