Job Summary
The Communications Coordinator will support the Communications department in all administrative work and in a variety of day-to-day departmental activities to support corporate communications strategies. This role involves assisting in the creation of public relations and marketing materials such as press releases, blog posts, and newsletters. This role also involves tracking and reporting analytics on marketing and communications campaigns and coordinating promotional events.
Essential Functions 
  • Manage/ track invoicing and billing administrative work
  • Coordinate and schedule travel to press events, media tours and other activities as needed
  • Compile and distributing traditional media and social media reports
  • Maintain comprehensive media lists, asset calendars, editorial calendars and
  • Support/staff press events as applicable
  • Tag and upload social media assets into digital asset management system
  • Manage internal planning calendar
  • Assist on daily activities, including researching, writing and updating press materials and dissemination to media.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) Public Relations, Social Media, Marketing, Communications, English, or Journalism is preferred
  • 2-4 years Administrative experience to include 1+ years of experience in communications with an Agency, Studio, Sports Franchise or Public Company
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and ability to learn required business systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with all departments.
  • Must be self-directed and reliable in planning and completion of tasks.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change without notice.
  • Personal experience with public relations and an understanding of its role in business
  • Strong interest in sports and entertainment is a plus
