On December 6, 2020, AEG’s Dignity Health Sports Park partnered with the Carson Boys & Girls Club to spread holiday cheer during a drive-thru toy giveaway.  More than 1,000 children from Carson, Long Beach, Watts, Los Angeles and Rancho Dominguez received toys during the drive-thru event at Dignity Health Sports Park. The toy drive supported more than 650 families in need in the Los Angeles area.

“We have everything children from ages 1 to 18 could want,” said Tamala Lewis, senior director for community affairs for Dignity Health Sports Park and a member of the Carson Boys & Girls Club’s board of directors. “For the older kids we’re going to do gift cards, so they can get what they want.”

AEG employees and LA Galaxy supporter groups distributed the toys which were donated by Mattel in recognition of the challenging times families are facing this year. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Los Angeles serve nearly 130,000 children every year.
