No other cultural exhibit has piqued the nation's curiosity - before or since - in quite the same way as "The Treasures of Tutankhamun" (King Tut) exhibit that visited America from 1976-1979. In that span, nearly 8 million Americans viewed the rare artifacts that sold out museums in every city the treasures visited.

Drawing record crowds and critical praise, and unleashing a cultural phenomenon that included jewelry, clothing, dance moves, and even hairstyles, Tut's impact on the art world, and most of all, American sensibilities, is immeasurable. What can be measured are the millions who passed before the boy king's burial items the last time they came to America.

Now, for the first time in 26 years later, AEG Exhibitions in cooperation with National Geographic, Arts & Exhibitions International, and the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, will bring an extensive exhibition of more than 130 treasures from the tomb of the celebrated boy king and other legendary family tombs to the United States on a 4 city tour beginning in Los Angeles on
June 16, 2005.

"Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs" will appear at the following venues:

LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art): June 16 to Nov. 15, 2005
Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale: December 15, 2005 to April 23, 2006
