Founded by AEG on November 29, 2005, the Riptide are members of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the world's premier professional outdoor lacrosse league. Upon entering the MLL, the Riptide immediately joined fellow expansion teams from Denver, Chicago and San Francisco to form the league's Western Conference. The club played thier innaugural home opener on Saturday June 3, 2006 in front of 6,024 fans. The Riptide currently play their home games at The Home Depot Center, located in Carson, CA on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. By providing fun, affordable family entertainment showcasing America's "fastest growing team sport", the Riptide have already made their mark within the Los Angeles sports landscape.
