In June 2002 the Munich
Barons moved to the city on the river
Elbe and became the Hamburg Freezers.
In the first season, 2002/2003, approximately
11,000 fans per game found their way
to the home of the Freezers. |

In 29 home games, 18 were sold out
with 12,803 fans. With an average of
almost 12,000 fans per game, the Hamburg
Freezers are third in attendance in
Europe following Bern (Switzerland)
and Cologne (Germany).
